This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Not really a Hasegawa product at all; this is the superb Accurate Miniatures’ Dauntless as imported into Japan from the U.S. by Hasegawa. Kit fully lives up to the incredible standards set by the firms’ Avenger. Features include recessed panel lines, positionable dive brakes (with holes), choice of open or closed canopy, amazing cockpit and engine detail and more. Even the instructions are well-illustrated and filled with assembly tips and advice. Easily the best 1/48 kit of this aircraft available. This version includes markings for SBDs flying off Lexington (CV-16) during the Marine landings on Tarawa in November of 1943.
