This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
In mid-1944, the British Air Force began introducing the P-47D. However, the razorback canopy used up to that point had poor rear visibility. In response, the British replaced the canopy with a bubble top type and deployed it as the “Thunderbolt Mk.II.” The Mk.II was primarily used in the Burma campaign. The bubble top canopy also caught the attention of the United States, the manufacturing country, and was adopted in subsequent production.
