In 2014, during the War on Terrorism, Lieutenant Colonel Oleksandr Bielyi was killed at the age of 38 when he was piloting an Il-76MD in Luhansk in eastern Ukraine, and was shot down by a terrorist-launched anti-aircraft missile. In his memory, another Il-76MD owned by the Ukrainian Air Force was named after him.
This model kit from A Model comes with an FRP fuselage and main wings, injection plastic parts such as the main engine, landing gear, nose and tail, painting mask stickers, and decals for two versions.
