Description

This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

The Fairey Delta 2 is a British supersonic experimental aircraft developed for sub/supersonic flight experiments; it made its first flight in 1954. This aircraft is a mid-wing tailless delta-wing aircraft with a circular cross-section fuselage, and the engine air intake is located at the root of the wing. The engine was a Rolls-Royce Avon RA-14R with an afterburner. The Fairey Delta 2 set a speed record of 1,811km/h on March 10, 1956, beating the F-100’s 1955 speed record by some 480km.h, which exceeded 1,600km/h. The first W774 was later modified for the Concorde development project, and is currently on display at the Royal Navy Air Corps Museum, while the second W777 is preserved at the Royal Air Force Museum.

This model kit from Dora Wings is an entirely new mold! Decals for four versions are included, including the markings of the aircraft that set the speed record in March 1956. The aileron, rudder, and landing flap are separate parts, and the canopy can be opened or closed. The nose can be set in flight mode, or bent 10 degrees during takeoff and landing.
