This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

The F-2 fighter has been in operation since 2000, and is the main fighter of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force. Development began in 1988 as a successor to the F-1 support fighter. Based on America’s masterpiece F-16 fighter jet, development work was carried out jointly between Japan and the United States, taking into account its use as a JASDF aircraft and Japan’s geographical factors. In addition to increasing the main wing area with the aim of improving maneuverability, it was developed as a unique aircraft tailored to Japan’s circumstances by adding elements and necessary performance for a JASDF aircraft to each part, such as reducing weight through the use of advanced materials and structure. In addition to being able to carry long-range air-to-ship missiles and ASM, it can also operate air-to-air radar missiles and air-to-air infrared missiles. It was first deployed to the 3rd Squadron at Misawa Air Base, and has also been deployed to the 6th and 8th Squadrons at Tsuiki Air Base, demonstrating its abilities in air defense missions for Japan’s skies.
