This kit from Mikro Mir is a new mold! The P.C.7 was an Italian seaplane built by Piaggio-Pegna to participate in the 1929 Schneider Trophy race. This unusual design floated directly on the surface of the water, resting on its boat-shaped fuselage; hydrofoils were attached to the underside for takeoff and landing. Unfortunately, tests proved that the hydrofoils generated too much spray for the pilot to see anything during takeoff, and the P.C.7 never became airborne. It was thought to be capable of delivering speeds of up to 700km/h with its 1000hp Isotta Fraquini engine. Get this unique aircraft for your own collection today!
