1/72 CH-47D Chinook

Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

An all-new (and reasonably priced!) tooling of the CH-47D from Trumpeter. The “Hook” makes for a decent-sized model even in 1/72, and given the variety of vehicle and detail parts out there in this scale, the diorama possibilities are endless, and will take up a lot less space than would be needed for a 1/35 diorama. Cockpit detailing is very well done, and the cargo area has floor and bulkhead detail. The rear ramp is designed to be attached in the deployed position. The “hellhole” panel on the belly is a separate part, and the cargo hook for this position is included; however, the instructions appear to show both being used simultaneously, which is probably not correct. Markings are given for three nondescript US Army aircraft.
