1/72 F6F-3 Hellcat Profipack

Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

An outstanding and all-new 1/72 scale model of the F6F-3 Hellcat in 1/72 scale. Includes photoetched detail parts and masking seals, with decals for 5 aircraft. Includes all three styles of engine cowling used by the Hellcat (early and mid -3 production, late -3 and -5 production), windscreens for the -3 and -5, separate sliding canopy section x 2 (one for open and one for closed options), optional rear quarter panels with and without aft windows, wing root bomb pylons with two styles of bombs, radar pod, inboard 20mm cannon barrel and HVARs (all marked “not for use”). Savvy modelers will realize that all these options mean any -3 or -3N (but not a -3E) as well as an early-production -5 can be made with what is provided (for later -5s an access panel under the wing will need to be filled in and new circular panels scribed in). Although we are sure that Eduard will release a dedicated -5 kit later!
