1/72 B-25J Mitchell Solid Nose

Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

Hasegawa’s third release in their B-25 series is the solid nose “gunship” version of the B-25J. A new nose piece and staggered machine gun inserts are included, with the barrels being arranged in a “rack” of four guns each that must be installed before adding the nose cap. It would probably be best to apply the nose with white glue first, paint and decal, then pop the nose off, install the guns and re-install the nose. While more care must be taken then on a certain older kit with individual gun barrels, it will be a LOT easier to make sure all the guns are pointing in the same direction when you are done!

Markings are included for the natural-metal “Sunday Punch” of the 82nd BS, 12th BG and an olive drab and neutral gray aircraft of the 822nd BS, 38th BG. This aircraft has a large black panther head on each side of the nose.
