Description

This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.

A long overdue reissue of the Supermodel kit. I believe this kit dates from the 70s, and was pretty much state-of-the-art at that time. Panel lines are raised and a bit heavy, but a light sanding would fix that. An interior is provided, but it is a bit spartan and could use a little fixing up. Simply adding a bulkhead with an oval door in it behind the pilots’ seats would help. I taped the main assemblies of mine together right after I got it, and while some cleanup of the parts will be needed I didn’t see any horribly ill-fitting joints. I would cut the flange off the turrets and install only that when assembling the fuselage, that way you can drop the turrets in after cleaning up the seams and painting. Parts are included for the MS mine-sweeping variant, an unsuccessful idea that was dropped after testing but still makes for an interesting-looking model. Decals are for two C-1 and one MS aircraft, the C-1s are K6+AK of 2./Ku.Fl.Gr. 406 and 7R+PL of 3./SAGr. 125. The MS is CB+UA of Luftwaffenerprobungsstelle Travemuende.
