The Sea Venom is an all-weather surface combatant for the Royal Navy that was developed based on the de Havilland DH.112 Venom NF.2. The Sea Venom was equipped with a large radar in the nose and a parallel double-seat cockpit to accommodate a radar operator. In addition, the main wing power folding mechanism and landing hooks were adopted to strengthen the fuselage structure for operation on aircraft carriers. Testing began in 1951, and troop deployments began in 1954. It was used by the troops until 1961, and a total of 259 aircraft of each type were produced.
