The KC-135 is a refueling aircraft developed by Boeing in 1956. It had many common parts with the 707 passenger aircraft of the same period. The refueling device is equipped with a flying boom system on the bottom of the fuselage, and the refueling operator’s seat is located at the rear of the fuselage; the system is operated by the refueling operator lying on his stomach. This aircraft has the ability not only to refuel, but is also used as a transport machine, and has a maximum loading capacity of 38 tons. The R type is a modernized version, with the engine changed to a CFM-56 fan jet; the avionics have also been modernized, and large-scale renovations such as systems updates have been carried out, greatly extending the aircraft life.
