The F-111 was developed in the mid-1960s and first flew in 1967. The aircraft featured many technological innovations, including variable wing geometry, terrain-following radar and after-burning engines. Several versions of the F-111 were developed and operated by the United States Air Force and the Royal Australian Air Force. The United States Air Force retired the F-111 in the late 1990s; Australian F-111s retired from service in December 2010.
This kit can be built in flight or parked configurations; includes positionable swing wings.
