With the original of this model with the registration VN-A886, Vietnam Airlines already commenced operation between Hanoi and Paris in 2015. The Vietnamese have managed to once again visually improve their already appealing livery.
Vietnam Airlines has ordered a total of fourteen A350-900s to retire its current A330-200s by 2017. Airbus itself is pleased with the rather large number of orders–596 planes of the basic -900 series alone.
