1/48 AV-8B Harrier II Desert Harrier

Description

This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.

Hasegawa’s second Harrier release is a “straight” B, with the original nose, short tail scoop and small LERX. The kit also includes a new, correct instrument panel and HUD glass for this version (yay!), along with decals for 3 aircraft that saw combat in Desert Storm: the CO’s aircraft of VMA-231 “Ace of Spades”, with shark mouth, aircraft 5 of VMA-231, and aircraft 01 of VMA-311 “Tomcats”. NOTE: while the painting guides for the 231 aircraft correctly show the “mirror” two-tone gray scheme for the two aircraft, VMA-311 aircraft were only overpainted on the dark green areas of the original dark green/dark gray scheme, so the correct colors should be FS 36081 and FS 36320, not FS 35237 and FS 36320 as the painting instructions state.
