This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Tamiya’s 1975 Lancaster kit sees the light of day for the first time in years. Though the kit is showing its age (all surface detail is raised, and there are some fit and accuracy problems), it’s quite buildable and a good modeler can turn this into a spectacular creation. Comes with four crew figures, 18 200lb. bombs and one 4,000lb. bomb. Includes markings for four aircraft, representing Nos. 103, 550, 424 and 35 Squadrons. Limited production.The Dambuster/Grand Slam version has also been reissued (linked below). Includes the new cowling, propeller, wheel and turret parts Tamiya produced just a couple of years ago. Also includes unpainted and pre-painted canopy and turrets.
