Academy releases an all new-tool, highly detailed CH-46! One of the most important helicopters in the US inventory since Vietnam, the “Frog” (aka the “Eggbeater”) has never been released in this scale, and it is nice to see it finally done, and done as good as this! You get quite a few options when building this kit, so it will be worth it to sit down before starting and decide just what “look” you want: all doors and hatches can be positioned opened (aside from the pilot’s windows) or closed, machine guns can be fitted and troop seats can be folded up or lowered for use or outright replaced with litters. Decals are included for three helicopters, a “clean” transport version operated by HMX-1, or either of two fully combat-ready helicopters with armor, jammers and flotation bags, one each from HMM-162 “Golden Eagles” and HMM-261 “Raging Bulls”.
