This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Reissue of the very nice AMT 1/48 Tigercat by Italeri. Features new-tool styrene tires to replace the infamous hub-eating vinyl tires of the original release. Markings are given for four aircraft: the all-black WF/2 and WF/20 of VMF(N)-513 “Nightmares” during the Korean War, the gloss sea blue WH/7 of VMF(N)-542 “Tigers,” also from Korea, and “Z65” of VMF(N)-534 at Miramar in 1946. Bombs, rockets and drop tank are included, reflecting the fact that these aircraft saw “triple duty” as attack aircraft during the day and as interdiction aircraft at night besides their night fighter duties.
