This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
Design of the Kikka was started in July 1945 as Japan’s first jet aircraft, with reference to the technical data of the Me262 jet fighter, which was already in use by the Luftwaffe at the time. The first flight of the test aircraft was on August 7, 1945, as the plan request from the Navy was not finalized, and the design was repeatedly changed due to lack of materials and changes in the installed engine. Japan’s first jet flight was a success, but it failed to take off during a test four days later, which was supposed to be the second flight. The aircraft was damaged, and the war ended.
