The P-38 Lightning is set to make a triumphant entry into the Tamiya 1/48 Aircraft Series! Exhaustive studies of actual P-38 aircraft enabled this precise recreation of the twin boom aircraft in detailed 1/48 scale. Choose whether to assemble as a P-38F or P-38G. Weights are included to give the model proper balance. The kit comes with a figure, two marking options, and a color painting guide.
You can choose open or closed canopy, with the P-38F’s opening sideways and that of the P-38G rearwards. Masking stickers are included for the paint job. The tailplane and engine turbochargers feature superb detail, as well as the busy cockpit area.
