Description
This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Messerschmitt Me262 was the first jet fighter in the world. Project work had begun on the Messerschmitt as early as April 1939 on a new high-speed fighter plane, the propulsion of which was to consist of the “turbine jet” system. And on July 18th, 1942, the Me262 took off on its first flight.
The Me262 was powered by two Jumo 0004B type engines, giving it a maximum speed of 870km/h at an altitude of 6000m. Its service ceiling was 11400m and its range was 1050km. Basic armament consists of 4x30mm MK108 cannons installed in the nose. In addition, 2×12 type R4M rockets could be carried on the wings.
This kit contains parts molded in grey plastic, and includes decals. Completed model measures 221mm long, with a 260.6mm wingspan.
