This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
The F/A-18 is an American fighter-attack aircraft nicknamed the Hornet. Currently it is sometimes called the Legacy Hornet to distinguish it from the advanced F/A-18E Super Hornet. The F/A-18A is an early model produced since 1979, and in 1981 the Australian Air Force adopted 55 A-types as a successor to the Dassault Mirage III multipurpose fighter. When this machine was introduced, the navigation, communication, and identification systems were modified, and capabilities such as changing to AN/APG-73 radar were implemented. Also, JDAM-ER (Joint Direct Attack Munitions – Extended Range) drop tests are being conducted using the F/A-18A.
