Used in World War I, the Albatros D.I was a German fighter aircraft which was known for superior speed and firepower. With production started in mid 1916 at the Albatros factory, and having only 50 aircrafts made, it’s operational career was short-lived when the more modern Albatros D.II type came to replace it.
