This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
Hasegawa’s Beaufighter is a little beaut of a kit that compares quite favorably with Tamiya’s recent offering in the level of detail despite being 33% smaller. Surface work is quite nice throughout the kit, and in some areas appears to be even better detailed than the Tamiya Beau, but a direct comparison reveals a few differences (some panels are present on one version, but not on the other and vice-versa).
Which one is the more accurate will be up to the rivet-counters to decide, but I doubt few people will be choosing between differing scales based on that. Kit provides decals and parts to build two different versions of the plane: A Mk.VI F of 89th Squadron in Africa which mounted the nose and wing radar units, and a Mk.VI C of 272nd Squadron in Malta, without the radar but sporting a rear seat gun. Variations to follow.
