This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
Following up on their fine F-22 Raptor kit, here’s an all-new F-35B Lightning II STOVL kit from Fujimi! This is designed as a “snap” kit, and is molded in several colors (gray for the main airframe parts, steel for the engine, white for the landing gear and bays) plus has both clear and smoked canopies. The exhaust and lift fan can be modeled in either “conventional” or “VTOL” modes, the weapons bay doors can be built open or closed, and the landing gear can be built extended or retracted. decals are for the BF-01 test airframe, but this should be essentially identical to the production airframe save for the nose mounted sensor probe.
