This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
A new-tool model of the one-off F4F-3S “Wildcatfish”, a prototype seaplane fighter created by fitting Edo floats to an F4F-3. Intended as a fighter that could be used from small island bases in the Pacific and inspired by Japan’s A6M2-N “Rufe” fighter, the type did not enter service as the US decided to stick to standard fighters and build more aircraft carriers to move them around with.
