This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The Ta154 “Moskito,” like the British plane with a similar name, was of mostly wooden construction and primarily slated to be a night fighter. However, wartime setbacks, primarily the bombing of the factory that produced the glue that was to be used to hold it together, resulted in its never seeing mass production.
Hasegawa’s new kit appears to be a beautiful rendering of what was to be the production night-fighter version of the plane with a Lichtenstein SN-2 radar, though there are few who can comment with authority on a plane as obscure as this. Surface detail is beautiful even in this smaller scale, and the cockpit looks adequate (instrument decals provided). Tires are rendered with flat sides. Koike Shigeo box art.
