The Kamov Ka-10m, known to NATO as “Hat,” was a light helicopter that first flew in 1949. The anti-torque of the rotor is eliminated by adopting a coaxial reversal type for the main rotor. In 1950, the Soviet Union succeeded in landing this craft on board a ship for the first time, and in 1954, 12 of the Ka-10m were produced, with one or two tail wings and an improved rotor system and maneuvering control system.
