Description

This is an injection-plastic airliner model kit.

From the manufacturer:

It was in 1929, at the request of TWA, that the Constellation project was launched. This company wanted a 40-seater airliner.

The prototype took off on its maiden flight on Jan. 9, 1942, but because of the war, the Constellation began its career under a military denomination–that of C69–and it equipped the Air Transport Command of the U.S. Air Force. After the war, the first two civilian clients were TWA and Pan American. The latter company was the first to fly the Constellation on the New York-Bermuda route.TWA in turn inaugurated the first United States-Europe link. Another first was in June 1947, when the NC 86530 Clipper America Constellation of Pan Am set up the first round-the-world link.

Considered a veteran of the transatlantic and long-haul flights since 1945, the Constellation and its variants have been of great service to the cause of commerical aviation for over 20 years.

Will be 52.1cm long with a wingspan of 40.3cm when completed. 105 pieces. Includes decals.
