This is an injection-plastic aircraft model kit.
The PBY Catalina is a flying boat developed by Consolidated Aircraft. It was deployed by the U.S. Navy starting in 1937. It was highly maneuverable, had a range of over 4,800km, and could fly continuously for 15 hours. It was also highly scalable, and was used for various missions such as patrols, rescue, and torpedo attacks. The PBY-4 had its engine replaced with an R-1830-72, and 33 of this version were produced.
