This is an injection-plastic jet aircraft model kit.
A re-issue of the Italeri YF-12A kit. A precursor to the SR-71, the YF-12A was designed to be a Mach 3 interceptor fitted with massive air-to-air missiles that would be able to strike Russian bombers over a hundred miled away. This kit features detailed cockpits and landing gear, as well as a missile bay that can be built with the doors open and missiles in place. Markings are for 3 aircraft: 06935 and 06936 in overall flat balck, and 06934 in natural titanium with black leading edges (as shown in the box art). Definately one of the odder aircraft to zip through America’s skies…
