Description
This is an English-language book or magazine about aircraft and/or aircraft modeling.
Ginter’s Naval Fighters vol. 76 – the SB2A Buccaneer (Bermuda in Royal Navy parlance). The Buccaneer was intended as a multi-place carrier-borne scout bomber, however as the type turned out to be entirely unfit for carrier service all completed examples ended their days as advanced trainers (if they were lucky) or hacked to bits as crash, fire and rescue trainers (if they were not so lucky). Even the British, desperate for aircraft early in the war, rated the type as “useless” and either canceled their orders or tried to pass the aircraft off to various Commonwealth air arms, none of whom wanted the type either! Still, this is an excellent guide to the type, with page after page of detail photos and drawings, making it an invaluable reference to any modeler who wants to build a model of what may be one of the most maligned and little-known naval aircraft of World War II. Softcover. All text is in English.
